Louis XVI Library signed BARDIE - XIXth

Library 6 doors Louis XVI style solid Mahogany signed cabinetmaker BARDIE in Bordeaux.
Its wooden top, with central projection, is surrounded by a brass gallery and the cornice is cut and molded. Below, a frieze of posts runs all along.
It opens at the top by 3 glass doors decorated with bronze rosettes and locking, whose middle one is wider and slightly advanced in jump. They are separated by amounts decorated with rosaries of piastres as well as a sculpture in the upper part representing 3 crafts, such as painter, architect and musician. The interiors are furnished with 3 adjustable oak shelves on racks.
In the lower part, it opens with 3 other doors locked, smaller, with carved wooden panels of 3 crafts architect, explorer and painter.
The sides are paneled and molded and a line of oves runs along the lower rails on the sides and the facade.
It rests on 6 feet tops trimmed with engraved bronze rings and hooves.
The interiors and separations are in Oak like the back which is panneauté.
Period: Late nineteenth.

Perfect condition after restoration, stripping and waxed patina in our workshop.
